These charcoal disks are for smouldering your herbs and resins. Charcoal discs burn at an extremely high temperature so it is very important to use a suitable heat-proof dish.
Directions for Use: Take a disc by a pair of tongs holding the depression side up. With a flame from a gas stove, camp cooker or high heat clicker lighter apply to the opposite end being held. They will not light with matches. Hold the disc into the flame for 30 seconds. Once the charcoal begins to heat it will start to glow around the edge you are holding into the flame. Once alight place the charcoal in your heat proof dish and allow to completely ignite. This is when you will notice a glow or ashy appearance move across the face of the disc and reaches the opposite side. Sprinkle a little of your herbal mix onto the disk, taking care not to smother the charcoal disc and replenish as necessary. They will burn slowly for approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.
